Alerts & Reports
Score alerts
Score alerts are generated each day after the daily scoring run. They fire when a brand's AI visibility changes significantly:
| Type | Trigger | Default severity |
|---|---|---|
| Score Drop / Rise | AI Prominence deviates meaningfully from its recent rolling average on two consecutive days | Warning, larger deviations are Critical |
| Provider Drop | Visibility on a single provider falls noticeably vs that provider's own recent average | Warning, larger drops are Critical |
| Provider Concentration | A single provider accounts for an unusually high share of citations | Info |
| New Competitor | A new competitor was cited on several of the last seven days | Info, Warning if Major tier |
| Competitor Surge | An existing competitor's citation count rises clearly above its own recent high, in both absolute and relative terms | Warning |
| Citation Source Lost | A third-party domain that regularly appeared alongside your brand has stopped being cited | Info |
| High-Impact News | A news article about your brand scores highly on both relevance and business impact | Info, Warning when impact is unusually high |
| Negative Sentiment | Several recent mentions described your brand negatively, and they make up a meaningful share of your analysed mentions | Critical |
| Sentiment Shift | The share of positively framed mentions fell sharply against your own prior baseline | Warning, Critical on a steep drop to a low share |
The Citation Source Lost alert only fires for supporting sources — sites that consistently appeared alongside your brand over the prior two weeks. Sites that never co-occurred with your brand are treated as background noise and ignored.
The two sentiment alerts cover the reputation side. Negative Sentiment is the rare one: it fires when AI assistants actively criticise your brand. Sentiment Shift is the common one, and it catches something quieter — nobody said anything bad, but the assistants stopped recommending you and now merely list you. Both read the tone of your own mentions on brand-free questions only; a query containing your brand name answers with an echo of your own material, so its tone says nothing about how the market sees you. When outright criticism is found, only that alert is sent.
Each detector has its own minimum data window and cooldown so the same finding doesn't page you twice. Where an alert is about one competitor or one provider, the cooldown applies to that competitor or provider rather than to the brand, so one finding never keeps another quiet. Detectors that need a week of history stay quiet until that history exists, and the sentiment alerts need enough analysed mentions in both windows before they can tell a real shift from a thin week.
Every alert ships with a Suggested action line: a short, specific next step (which page to open, which competitor to study, which content to produce). It appears as a column on the Alerts page and as a "Suggested action: …" line in the email and push notification.
Severity levels
| Severity | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Critical | Requires action today |
| Warning | Worth investigating promptly |
| Info | Notable but no immediate action required |
News & Social alerts
Generated daily from brand news monitoring. An AI analyzes recent activity and raises alerts for genuinely significant developments:
| Type | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Brand Mention | Notable press coverage or social activity about the brand |
| Competitor News | Significant competitor activity — launches, funding, PR events |
| Niche Alert | Industry news that shifts the market the brand operates in |
Each alert carries a source badge: Brave (news article), X (verified post on X/Twitter), Brave + X (both confirmed it), or Unknown for older alerts. X coverage is opt-in per brand: ask support to enable it for verticals where X breaks news first (tech, finance, sports, breaking PR).
To avoid noise, each candidate alert is checked by a lightweight LLM against this brand's alerts from the recent past. If the same underlying story was already flagged (even if rephrased or from a different source), the candidate is skipped. Otherwise the alert is created and tagged with a canonical story key. Use Collect Now on a brand page to trigger an immediate run.
Notification preferences
Configure your preferences from Profile (click your avatar in the top bar).
Alert Email — optionally set a different email address for alert notifications. Leave blank to use your account email.
The profile page shows a matrix of toggles for each alert type and delivery channel:
| Alert Type | Push | |
|---|---|---|
| Critical alerts | Toggle | Toggle |
| Warning alerts | Toggle | Toggle |
| Info alerts | Toggle | Toggle |
| Daily digest | Toggle | Toggle |
Each toggle is independent — you can receive critical alerts by push only, warnings by email only, or any combination.
Daily digest — when enabled, a single summary is sent each morning once the daily score run completes, with all unread alerts grouped by brand.
Housekeeping — an alert still unread after 30 days is marked read automatically, and read alerts are removed after 60 days. Alerts only ever reach you by mail on the day they are raised, so a month-old unread one is history rather than a task.
Immediate notifications — sent as soon as an alert is created (during the daily score pipeline or the morning news collection run).
Team members (subscriber, agency, and admin roles) receive alerts for all brands in their team. Brand users receive alerts for their own brand only.
Push notifications
Achtung.app supports Web Push notifications on devices where the app is installed as a PWA (Progressive Web App).
How to enable:
- Install the PWA — visit Achtung.app in your browser and use "Add to Home Screen" (iOS Safari) or "Install App" (Chrome/Edge).
- Connect the device — go to your Profile page and click Enable push on this device. Your browser will prompt for permission — tap Allow.
- Configure — toggle which alert types should send push notifications in the Push column.
Push subscriptions are per-device. Enable them on each device where you want to receive alerts.
Requirements: iOS 16.4+, Android (Chrome/Edge/Firefox), or Desktop (Chrome/Edge/Firefox). The PWA must be installed and the notification permission granted.
Download my personal data (GDPR)
Click the "Download my data" button on your Profile page to export all personal data as a JSON file. This includes your account details, alert settings, notification preferences, and push subscription metadata. Brand analytics data (scores, citations, competitors) is not included. Limited to one download per 24 hours.

Monthly PDF reports are generated automatically on the 1st of each month. Each report covers the prior calendar month and includes:
- Executive Summary — AI Prominence with factor breakdown, KPI cards, GEO gap analysis, and AI-generated summary with recommendations
- Organic Search Trend — Google Search Console click comparison vs prior month (if GSC is connected)
- Market News Signal — Recent industry news headline from automated news monitoring (if available)
- AI Strategic Insights — LLM-generated strategic insight cards with specific recommended actions
- Keyword Performance — Per-keyword citation rates, provider breakdown, sentiment distribution, mention types, and sample AI response contexts
- GEO Gap Analysis — Why AI models are not citing the brand, with specific gap reasons per keyword
- Competitor Landscape — Top domains cited alongside the brand, with tier classification
- Citation Source Map — External domains most frequently cited by AI models, ranked by opportunity score
- Content Suggestions — AI-generated content topics to improve visibility
- Score History — Monthly score trend over the last 6 months
Language: Reports respect the brand's language setting. All headings, labels, dates, and the executive summary are rendered in the brand's language. Supported: English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
Reports are available for download from the Reports section. All historical reports are kept permanently.
If a brand's score is recalculated after a report was generated, a warning badge appears on the affected score in the report list. The PDF itself is a point-in-time snapshot.
