Why Achtung.app exists
When a potential customer asks a question today, they don't necessarily go to Google. They ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini. The answer either names a brand or it doesn't — and the rest of that answer shapes their decision far more than ten organic results would have.
Traditional SEO tools measure rankings inside result lists. They don't measure whether an AI model recommends a brand on its own. Achtung.app closes that gap: daily, brand-free queries across multiple search-grounded AI providers (live web search per query), aggregated into a 0–100 score.
I needed this measurement for my own marketing projects, and I wanted a tool where I'd know exactly how the measurement worked — which prompts, which models, which aggregation steps. A handful of comparable tools exist (Profound, Peec.ai, Otterly), but none of them combine search-grounded methodology, a DACH focus, and openly documented data sources. That combination is what I was looking for.
What Achtung.app measures — and what it doesn't
Achtung.app measures whether AI models name, cite or recommend a brand when someone asks a relevant question — without including the brand name in the query. From the answers it derives a 0–100 score (AI Prominence), a mention rate per provider, a list of third-party sources the AI pulls in, and a per-keyword gap analysis.
Achtung.app does not measure:
- Mentions in social media or traditional news (that's what tools like Brandwatch, Meltwater and Talkwalker do).
- Traditional search-engine rankings (that's what Semrush and Ahrefs do).
- The quality of your content. Achtung.app shows what today's AI makes of the data available about your brand, not whether your copy is good.
The platform is co-built with Anthropic's Claude. That is not a marketing line: a substantial share of the code, tests, and content is written in direct collaboration with the model. Saying that openly feels more honest than hiding it, especially because Achtung.app itself measures AI models.
The person behind it
I've been building Achtung.app since early 2026. For years my main work has been on marketing and digitalization projects; Achtung.app is the answer to a gap I kept running into there.

Common questions
Is Achtung.app the snake game on iPad?
No. The game "Achtung, die Kurve!" on iOS (at achtungapp.com) is a separate product, published in 2010 by an independent studio, and has nothing to do with this platform. This site is achtung.app (not .com) and measures brand presence in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
Where is the data hosted?
In Germany and the EU. The application server, database, and all stored brand data live with a German host running on green electricity. The AI queries themselves go to the respective providers (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, Anthropic), whose privacy policies are linked in the privacy policy.
Does Achtung.app only measure my brand if I am a customer?
Continuous measurement with daily runs, competitor tracking and reports is subscription-only. Anyone can run a free one-off check at /en/ai-visibility-check: five queries across two AI platforms (ChatGPT and Gemini), results delivered by email.
What does Achtung.app cost?
The Starter tier is €69 per month or €690 per year and covers one brand, three search-grounded AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and 20 keywords. Pro and Enterprise add more brands, more keywords, API access and the brand portal. Details on the comparison page.
